Climbing in the Alps can be practiced all year round. To enjoy a pleasant temperature, one should
climb in Central Europe during summer. In the cold season (October- December) climbing sites in
the Dolomites or Southern France – Verdon, Ardèche, Bioux, Provence … - are just perfect.
Even during the cold winter months (January- February) it may be possible to perform great
climbs in the Calanques (South of France) wearing short sleeves.
Due to the Calanques’ southern exposure, the slightest sunshine gradually warms up the cliffs’ walls
to a comfortable temperature. Rockclimbing in Provence (France)
